Fox in a Box - Chicago is an escape room activity designed primarily for adults, and as such only guests above a certain age will enjoy it and be successful.
If you are planning a party for a child 12 years old and younger, where the group consists solely of children 12 years old and younger, Fox in a Box - Chicago wouldn't be the right venue for a successful party. Our rooms are designed to challenge and entertain adults.
We do host a number of school trips for 8th to 12th grade students (typically 13 years and above). Please contact us for information about these offerings.
We also host a number of families where one or more children play with their parent(s) or other adult(s).
Here are details concerning our age restrictions and adult supervision requirements:
- 11 years and younger: We require that one adult be in the room for each participant who is 11 years old or younger. This is regardless of whether the adult(s) actively participate(s) or not. You are required to sign a liability release form for anyone under the age of 18.
- 12 to 14 years: We require that at least one adult be in the room. This is regardless of whether the adult actively participates or not. You are required to sign a release form for anyone under the age of 18.
- 15 to 17 years: You are not required to be in the room however you are required to sign a release form for anyone under 18 years of age. If you choose to be in the room, you will have to pay for yourself regardless of whether you actively participate or not.
The maximum number of players allowed per room are:

Final Exam: 6 to 10
